About Sportzap

A contracts and payments platform for professional athletes, their fans, and the brands that back them.

What we do

Sportzap is a contracts and payments platform built for pro athletes whose earnings don’t reflect their fanbase — from independent competitors without a league behind them, to team players whose value to fans goes well beyond their contract.

For fans

Zaps

Zaps let fans tip athletes directly. Watch a great performance, send your support. Simple.

For brands

ZapDeals

ZapDeals are verified, signed contracts between brands and athletes. Real terms, fast payouts, clear records — partnerships that should take days, not months.

Together, Zaps and ZapDeals let professional athletes get paid for what they actually do — the years of work, the daily grind, and the moments that move fans.

Athlete-first. Always.

Sportzap isn’t an agency. We aren’t a sponsor. We aren’t a gatekeeper standing between athletes and the people who value them. We’re the foundation underneath — built to support a career, not to manage it, broker it, or own a piece of it. We charge a small fee to keep the platform running. That’s it.

The Sportzap Promise

The Athlete Protection Pledge

Independent athletes are often the busiest people in the room, and many sign contracts without an agent or attorney to read them first. That’s a gap, and we take it seriously. Before launch, Sportzap is working with legal counsel to develop the Athlete Protection Pledge — a set of baseline terms built into every ZapDeal that establishes a floor of protection for the athlete signing it. Clear language. Fair defaults. A safety net for athletes who don’t have one of their own.

We’ll publish the full Pledge when it’s finalized.

Why Bitcoin fits sports

Sports and Bitcoin share the same DNA: proof of work, transparency, low time preference, and outcomes you can’t fake. An athlete’s record is earned in the open. So is every block mined.

The platform supports standard card and bank payments in local currency, with optional Bitcoin payouts and educational resources for athletes, fans, and brands who want them. Bitcoin makes Sportzap even more borderless — a neutral settlement network that reaches athletes in any country. And when both sides choose Bitcoin, value moves at a lower cost in minutes, not days.

Who’s behind it

Sportzap was founded by Dan Guralnick, a practicing cardiologist, lifelong sports fan, and longtime student of Bitcoin. In sports’ winner-take-most economy, Dan saw that the vast majority of professional athletes — even at the highest level — aren’t fairly compensated for the value they create for fans and brands.

The goal is simple: build a clean, honest tool that puts more value in athletes’ hands and gives fans and brands a direct way to back the careers they care about.

Fans want to support athletes directly. Brands want a simple way to run sponsorships. Athletes want their work to pay off. Sportzap is where all three meet.

Effort becomes earnings.
